The Four Seasons Ko Olina is located at 92-1001 Olani Street, Kapolei, in one of the most illustrious resort communities in the Hawaiian kingdom. While Ko Olina / Kapolei are often dubbed as the “new Waikiki” this description could not be further from the truth, especially when it comes to the Four Seasons property. That’s a good thing.
While located next to the Disney Aulani, the sounds of screaming children are muted my lagoon-lapping waves, rustling palms, and the sweets sounds of ukulele and slack-key guitar emanating from the open air lobby of the accommodation. It’s as if the Four Seasons exists in its own little bubble. Guests want for nothing as the property boasts all of the opulent amenities one could ever desire from their Hawaiian vacation. That being said, it all comes with a hefty price tag. And you may not mind that it does, but you also appreciate value. The latter is especially true when it comes to practical things such as transportation from the airport. Sure, the Four Seasons offers their luxury car service from HNL or you can add a helicopter transfer to your check-out bill, but is that really necessary for a quick 20-mile trip (view directions)? The other airport transportation option suggested by the resort’s website is a car rental. While a car rental is absolutely recommended for those who want to venture out of Ko Olina during their stay, a vehicle should only be rented once you’ve already arrived at the property (they have an on-site Enterprise). Renting a vehicle from the Honolulu International Airport (HNL) on the other hand, is not recommended.
