As a result, the name of the property is no longer be associated with the President. From here on in it is known as Ka La’i Waikiki Beach. The hotel remains as elegant as ever, although the resort will undergo remodeling at the onset of 2025. Aptly named, ‘Ka la’i is the Hawaiian expression for peaceful calm and serene, which is what you will experience upon your stay at the resort. That’s correct – the resort does not provide shuttle service from Honolulu International Airport (HNL). Furthermore, Valet parking is $40/night, which is one of a number of reasons to not rent a vehicle from HNL. Save the rental for after you have arrived in Waikiki, seeing as you won’t be using the vehicle until the day after, or even later than that.
