There is a shared shuttle service affiliated with the Park Shore Hotel, although it is not an official service of the property itself. It’s an option, but certainly not the best one. Why? Again, it’s a shared shuttle service that seeks to book as many arriving passengers who are headed to the area at the same time. So just because you’ve already collected your luggage from baggage claim and are ready to go, doesn’t mean the shared shuttle is. They have to wait until all other pre-booked passengers have done the same, and taken their restroom breaks before hopping on the minibus heading into Waikiki. This process adds a lot of unnecessary time to your arrival. Then there’s the expense. On the surface it seems like $18 (per person!) is fair, but if you’re traveling with just one other person that puts your total at $36 to get to Park Shore. Three people in your party? $48 dollars. Four people? $60 bucks! Unless you’re flying solo it’s not an economical option at all.

There are numerous cafes (Starbucks, etc.) and eateries within minutes and even seconds of the lobby exit, and world famous Honolulu Zoo is literally across the street (Kapahulu Avenue). You can also walk up and down Kalakaua Avenue to explore the air-conditioned shops and services until your 3 PM (or sooner) check-in time.
