The Park Shore Hotel in Waikiki Beach is a favorite among frequent visitors to the island. It has garnered rave reviews as being one of the more budget friendly options to stay at in the community, without sacrificing service, amenities, and the niceties that you expect from paradise. There are a variety of options for getting from HNL to the hotel, but only one is the most efficient. Let’s review.
Best Way to Get from Honolulu Airport to the Park Shore Hotel in Waikiki and What Else You Need to Know
Take an Affordable Flat-Rate, Direct, and Private Shuttle
There is a shared shuttle service affiliated with the Park Shore Hotel, although it is not an official service of the property itself. It’s an option, but certainly not the best one. Why? Again, it’s a shared shuttle service that seeks to book as many arriving passengers who are headed to the area at the same time. So just because you’ve already collected your luggage from baggage claim and are ready to go, doesn’t mean the shared shuttle is. They have to wait until all other pre-booked passengers have done the same, and taken their restroom breaks before hopping on the minibus heading into Waikiki. This process adds a lot of unnecessary time to your arrival. Then there’s the expense. On the surface it seems like $18 (per person!) is fair, but if you’re traveling with just one other person that puts your total at $36 to get to Park Shore. Three people in your party? $48 dollars. Four people? $60 bucks! Unless you’re flying solo it’s not an economical option at all.
As the most preferred alternative, Honolulu Airport Transfer offers you and your party a private and direct, no-share transportation option. You don’t have to wait for anyone else. Plus, at a flat-rate of just $35 for up to four people (versus $60 for the same number) our shuttle service is the most economical. And again, with no other passengers to wait for and no stops at other hotels to make along the way, it’s the quickest option. That’s right, you’ll be on the fast track from Honolulu Airport to the hotel.
What about the other purported options? Simply reference the following to see why other transportation options don’t compare:
- Why avoid Uber/Lyft from HNL (ride-hailing for the rest of the island is fine)
- Why avoid traditional taxis from HNL (or anywhere in Honolulu)
- Why you should never take city transit from HNL (don’t even think about it!)
*The $35 flat rate to Park Shore Hotel includes up to four passengers. Simply contact us (see below) to arrange affordable transport for parties greater than four.
What to Do If You Arrive Early
The great thing about Park Shore Hotel, is that you never have to worry about what to do if you arrive early so feel free to book your ride away from HNL as soon as you get here. Hotel guest services will happily store your luggage for free while you step out (after freshening up in the clean lobby area facilities) and explore all that Waikiki Beach has to offer. There are numerous cafes (Starbucks, etc.) and eateries within minutes and even seconds of the lobby exit, and world famous Honolulu Zoo is literally across the street (Kapahulu Avenue). You can also walk up and down Kalakaua Avenue to explore the air-conditioned shops and services until your 3 PM (or sooner) check-in time. It really is a seamless experience, as long as your start with our private HNL shuttle service!
